Sport Specific Workouts

This is where we focus on the conditioning for the sports we train:

boxing

Of course CrossFit could be your sport. We call it the sport of fitness. But what is the real goal? Functional movement. Training your athletic engine -your core and then your extremities. Here’s what we typically train for at the gym but your list could be longer. Come in and train for something…

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Core strength is key here as is flexibility and agility. Any fight eventually ends up on the ground. Train to move, train core muscles, and build the flexibility and the agility to maneuver on the ground.

Muay Thai Kickboxing

Some of the best trained athletes in the world are boxers and kickboxers. They work cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, strength, stamina, flexibility, power and speed with strenuous exercises, pad and bag work and sparring. They practice the neurological skills required to build striking excellence through movement, pad work and partner drills. These skills are vast, take dedication and time.

Boxing (classic)

Focused on the legs and upper body but of course as in Muay Thai conditioning counts. Core training and neurological development are  important as is stamina. The guy with the best conditioning usually wins the bout.

Judo

Core stability is key, with explosive power in the hips, legs. Just like wrestlers, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athletes, Judo stars need to move with accuracy, agility and power supported by stamina.

MMA

Take these athletes and turn them into explosive movement experts. The training is from head to toe with an increased focus on stamina, agility, flexibility

Triathletes and endurance sports

Is your training up to par? Are your training volumes in and out of season quite high? Do you know if you are an efficiently running machine? What would it look like to improve your times by 3% or more? ( 3% of a 15:00:00 Ironman is a whopping 27 minutes.)

The program consists of 3-5 workouts a week with the advanced CrossFit group an equal amount of scaled Specific drills for the endurance athlete and on the off days time trials. We’re here to make you stronger and faster. Go with the trends, believe in science, train like it matters.
